First Day of Filming

It was 5th of December 2012, I had managed to borrow a Sony DCR-SR68 Handycam which I will soon purchase one of my own of the same make and model as I found it is difficult to borrow a camera to film sometimes as they are in high demand and I need to film the same type of video or the editing suite will not be able to merge my shots together properly.

In my storyboard I had planned to use some time lapse shots of the college interior and public places such as the town city centre of Hull to reflect my ideology of consumerism and the education system which upholds todays society. I had managed to do approximately 1 hours worth of filming during college's lunch period outside of the library and the corridor next to it, which I would then upload onto the editing suite and edit to make it significantly faster. I plan to do other time lapse shots of the college's canteen, Victoria Square, St Stephens shopping centre and also Whitefordgate in Hull at their busiest hour as soon as possible.

Later on that day I managed to do some filming of my opening scene with my main actor Stevie Roberts. These shots have made my first draft of my opening scene. There are many improvements which will be made in the re-shoot of this, including location, the cinematography, the action, props, outfit and make-up details.
